Oh Brother

My boys amuse me. They entertain me. They teach me...because I've never been a boy, and so they fascinate me. I only have one brother and we girls subjected him to many estrogen laced activities. Having three boys in the house interacting, albeit violently, is interesting to me.

When we had The Cuteness, Chaz was 10. I, for one was floored by the way Chaz, who didn't like anyone at that point, took to him. I thank my lucky stars everyday for that happy surprise. The Cuteness doesn't know how good he has it to have such a cool cat as Chaz for an oldest brother.

And then there's Jackelope. Oh Jackelope, don't be mad for the rest of your life, heh? You don't seemingly fit in anywhere, but I think that's a good thing. We all need a couple of odd shapes in our life that won't fit into the cookie cutter holes in the block box. Anger is for patsies.

And maybe someday, Jackelope will appreciate the finer qualities of his older brother...

And maybe someday Chaz will stop to listen to Jackelope spin a wonderful tale...
